This smoothie recipe combines multiple fresh fruits including kiwi, crisp apple and ripe strawberries with nutritionally powerful kale and chia seeds for a light and extremely fresh tasting smoothie that is also very healthy for you. Enjoy!


  • 1 large handful kale (57 g)
  • 2 kiwis, sliced
  • 1 large honey crisp apple, sliced
  • 1 frozen 10 oz bag strawberries, thawed for 15 minutes (283 g which is about 2 cups)
  • juice from half a lemon
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (12 g)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (7 g) (optional)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups water (as needed to blend up smoothie)
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until a thoroughly smooth consistency.
  2. Garnish with fruits of your choice (shown with sliced kiwis and sesame seeds)
  3. Enjoy!
