This recipe creates some cute and delicious Raw Sea Salt Caramel Tarts that will satisfy your sweet tooth without any added sugar or stevia. It also uses some Epic Protein : Vanilla Lucuma, giving you extra protein and superfood nutrition! Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
For the Crust
- 1/2 cup raw oats
- 1 Tbsp raw almond butter
- 1 Tbsp raw coconut oil
- 1 scoop Epic Vanilla Lucuma Protein
For the Chocolate Sauce
- 1 Tbsp raw coconut oil
- 1 to 2 Tbsp raw cacao powder
For the Raw “Caramel” Filling
- 1 cup dates (pre-soaked in water for 8 hours or overnight)
- 1 Tbsp date water
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
DIRECTIONS
- For the crust, blend all ingredients together and then kneed with hands to make a dough.
- Press crust into mini tart molds (or any similar mold you have)
- Place in freezer.
- For the chocolate sauce, soften oil to a liquid and stir in cacao powder.
- Remove crust from freezer and poor chocolate sauce in each tart, coating the inside.
- Place in freezer.
- For the “caramel” filling, purée into a thick, creamy consistency.
- Fill tarts and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Enjoy!
