What first motivated you to pursue a healthier, cleaner diet?
I grew up in a health conscious home, so it’s always been a part of who I am. In my early twenties I discovered what it meant to “eat clean.” I was so impressed and inspired by the way it made me feel, and the energy it gave me. I haven’t looked back!

If you had to choose one, what would be your favorite fruit and favorite vegetable and why?
My favorite fruit is the avocado. It’s so versatile, and extremely nutritious. I eat at least half an avocado every day. My favorite vegetable is the sweet potato. It’s excellent for muscle repair – not to mention absolutely delicious!
Do you have a guilty pleasure food, and if so, what is it?
Dark chocolate and natural peanut butter.
What type of physical activities do you participate in and why?
I am currently doing Kayla Insines Bikini Body Guide, and I also love to run!
What advice would you give to someone who is considering making positive changes to their diet, exercise regimen or lifestyle in general?
Start with a small positive change, conquer it, and move to the next! Maybe it’s cutting out the soda and swapping it for carbonated water with fruit. The changes are more likely to stick if you don’t have to make them all at once.
Anything else important we should know about you or that you wanted to mention?
Living healthy should be a lifestyle – something you can stick to permanently. Focus on the big picture and take everything one day at a time. Set backs are inevitable, but just remember a brand new day is just around the corner.
