How We Started

Its almost cliche to say but Sprout Living really has humbles beginnings. My brother Alex and I were sitting around one day eating some fresh sprouts we ordered from beautiful California. As we are munching away, we start to notice a change, our mood and overall wellbeing seems to improve (no, we weren't high). We looked at each other and were just in awe. We could, for the first time ever, notice an immediate response from food. Literally 5 minutes into eating everything in our lives changed. We were shocked and excited at the power of SPROUTS.

We are both naturally entrepreneurial in mind and caring at heart; and in a state of bliss and enlightenment we came to the realization that this power needs to be made available to everyone. For some time, we offered fresh sprouts delivered right to your door. Logistical issues eventually deterred us from this service but we still knew we had to share the power of sprouts, but how?

Another fresh sprout munching session and another epiphany - freeze drying. A relatively new idea at the time, we knew this was the secret to harnessing the power of sprouts and essentially any living plant into a shelf stable product. Aside from an abundant amount of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, sprouts were extremely potent source of easily digestible protein.

Product Inspiration

We were both very active and found that we were 1. not getting enough protein 2. compensating for that with 'junk' protein. Before we can even realize it; our first product Sproutein was born. This nutrient dense protein powder combines powders of hemp, goji berry, lucuma, yacon, maca, along with a handful of freeze dried sprout powders such as amaranth, kale, millet, quinoa, alfalfa, sunflower, chia, golden pea, and mung bean.

Our next product was Epic Protein. This is made with the finest sprouted and bio-fermented, whole grain grain brown rice. We now have Epic Protein in 4 flavors: Original, Vanilla Lucuma, Chocolate Maca, and Green Force.

Recently, we have introduced a line of Sprout Powder Mixes including (Kale and Broccoli, Red Clover & Daikon Radish, Super Protein Mix, and a 5 Bean Mix).

We are happy to be a resource for these products as well as seeds, equipment, and tools to sprout at home. We are huge advocates of sprouts and their health benefits. Growing food on your kitchen counter that you can sustain life with is a true miracle.

The Founders

Founded by the Malinsky brothers, Alex and Mark. Our upbringing was really the motivation for even eating sprouts in the first place. Fortunately, our very intuitive mother understood the importance of a plant based diet and the avoidance of traditional medicines as much as possible. We take much of what we know from her, and we'll forever be grateful for instilling in us this unshakeable foundation and outlook on life.
